4-Colour Thinking In-Person

Critical thinking is at the heart of academic practice, whether you are writing an assignment or planning to deliver a presentation. 4-Colour Thinking (4-CT) is an exciting new teaching and learning resource for approaching texts and structuring tasks which puts your critical thinking skills at the centre of what you do.

What?

Inspired by the four colours in a printer, which can combine to produce any image, 4-Colour Thinking is based on intelligent questioning which leads you to create evidence-based responses to a wide range of written and spoken texts.

How?

You navigate through four roles: individual (yellow); social (red); linguistic (blue); and textual (black). Each role provides a rationale and an adaptable bank of questions to support your investigations and learning. In the session we experience a selection of tasks and explore different practical applications using 4-Colour Thinking.
