Creating Academic Posters with PowerPoint - Online

Creating Academic Posters with PowerPoint - Online Online

Academic posters are a common form of visual presentation used in academic and research settings to convey information to a broader audience. They are typically displayed during conferences, workshops, and other academic events to showcase research findings, projects, or ideas. The purpose of an academic poster is to present complex information in a visually appealing and accessible manner, allowing viewers to quickly grasp the main points of the study or research.

This workshop is for users who are familiar with producing presentations with the PowerPoint application or have successfully completed Creating Effective Presentations in PowerPoint workshop.

In this workshop we investigate further into the mechanics of PowerPoint, utilising its advanced layout features to produce a single-page professional "poster" sized document that are prefect for presenting at academic conferences. It will explore the tools and techniques for best practice use of layout, images, text and referencing. You will have an opportunity to ask questions, including troubleshooting and resolving common problems.
