The Statistics Summer School is ideal for masters researchers about to undertake quantitative analysis & also undergraduate researchers who want to get an early start on their final year quantitative research project. Workshops are supported with lecture notes, presentations and sample data. 

With the mathematical assistance of SPSS, learn how to handle and process data ready for your analysis. Perform descriptive statistics, produce statistical charts and then how to run popular hypothesis tests like t-tests, ANOVAs, Correlations and Regressions.

Consideration is given to creating hypotheses from research questions, how to choose the appropriate type of analysis to support a hypothesis, meeting test assumptions and then to interpret and write-up the output of your analysis.

No prior knowledge of SPSS, data analysis or statistics are necessary. 

Knowledge gains will be transferable to other applications like JASP, STATA and R.

This is a 6 session programme starting Thursday 30th May 2024 at 10am to 12pm and all sessions are held online via Microsoft Teams with live teaching and demonstrations.
