Algebra: Core Skills & Techniques

Delivered live via Microsoft Teams, this focused workshop is perfect for any BU student preparing for algebra-based mock exams, coursework or research projects. Whether you need a rapid refresher or want to deepen your understanding, our interactive two-hour session will boost your confidence and fluency in algebra.

 

This workshop will aim to cover the following areas of Algebra:
1 Quadratic Functions and Symmetry
2 The Quadratic Formula and the Discriminant
3 Solving Quadratic Equations
4 Polynomials and Their Order
5 Polynomial Division
6 Inequalities and Interval Notation
7 Rational and Algebraic Fractions
8 Reciprocal Graphs and Transformations
9 Practice Problems and Applications
