Essential Maths Workshop 

Geometry: Core Skills & Techniques

Delivered live via Microsoft Teams, this focused workshop is perfect for any BU student preparing for geometry-based mock exams, coursework or research projects. Whether you need a rapid refresher or want to deepen your understanding, our interactive two-hour session will boost your confidence and fluency in shapes, space and geometric reasoning.

This workshop will aim to cover the following areas of Geometry:
1 Straight Line Equation, Midpoints, Distance
2 Parallel and Perpendicular Lines
3 Equation of a Circle
4 Centre and Radius from the Circle’s Equation
5 Equation of the Normal to a Circle at a Point
6 Equation of the Tangent to a Circle at a Point
7 Line–Circle Intersection using the Discriminant
