Mechanics: Core Skills & Techniques

Delivered live via Microsoft Teams, this focused workshop is perfect for any BU student preparing for mechanics-based mock exams, coursework or research projects. Whether you need a rapid refresher or want to deepen your understanding, our interactive two-hour session will boost your confidence and fluency in classical mechanics fundamentals.

This workshop will aim to cover the following areas of Mechanics:

2 Vertical Motion and Free Fall
3 Variable Acceleration — Differentiating and Integrating Displacement, Velocity, and Acceleration
4 Force Diagrams and Equilibrium
5 Newton’s Laws of Motion
6 Connected Particles
7 Projectiles
8 Moments and Turning Effects
