DESCRIPTION:Join the popular Excel Essentials course\, starting Wednesday 
 29th October 10am to 12pm.\n\nWhether you're crunching numbers or analysing 
 data\, Microsoft Excel is an indispensable tool in the academic skills 
 toolkit. This 2-session (2x2hr) introductory online programme is delivered 
 through Microsoft Teams\, and designed specifically for BU undergraduate & 
 postgraduate students who want to build confidence in using Excel\, and 
 compliments academic units with Excel components.\n\nThroughout this 
 course\, you'll learn how to:\n\nNavigate Excel’s interface\, use 
 formulas and functions to solve mathematical problems\, create dynamic 
 charts and graphs to visualise data and apply logical reasoning and 
 descriptive statistical tools to datasets\n\nNo prior experience is 
 needed\, this is an introductory course\, just bring a curiosity for 
 numbers and a willingness to explore how Excel can support your studies at 
 BU and beyond.\n\nThe Semester 1 Excel session timetable:. \n\nExcel 
 Essentials Part A Wednesday 29th October\, from 10 am to 12 pm\n\nExcel 
 Essentials Part B Wednesday 5th November\, from 10am to 12pm\n\nAfter each 
 session\, you'll have access to class notes and Excel workbooks to support 
 your learning. Plus\, you're always welcome to book a one-on-one online 
 consultation in the Academic Skills Hub if you need help applying Excel to 
 your own data\, or use the Academic Skills Hub drop-in service (no 
 appointment necessary).\n\nLook out for Excel Masterclass events throughout 
 the academic year along with mathematics and statistics programmes 
 (Including SPSS and JASP)\, alerts placed in your Brightspace Pulse 
 app.\n\nParticipants will receive additional details and the Microsoft 
 Teams link prior to the programme's commencement on Wednesday 29th October
